These terms govern your use of scholarsofamerica.org, operated by TRAVELING SCHOLARS OF AMERICA Inc. (“Traveling Scholars of America”, “we”, “us”), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. By using the website, you agree to them.
About the website
This website describes our work and lets masajid request a visit from a scholar, contact us and donate. Information about our scholars, visits and partner charities is provided in good faith and may change without notice.
Requesting a scholar
Submitting a booking request or message does not confirm a visit. A visit is confirmed only when we agree its date, scholar and details with you directly. Each visit carries an honorarium plus travel costs, which we share before confirming. Either side may need to reschedule or cancel; we will give as much notice as we can.
Donations
Donations are made through Givebutter and are subject to Givebutter’s terms. Donations support the travel of scholars and our charitable mission, and are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law (Tax ID 42-4755519). Unless required by law or agreed in writing, donations are non-refundable; if you believe a donation was made in error, contact us at info@scholarsofamerica.org.
Appeals for partner charities
When a scholar makes an appeal on behalf of a partner charity, gifts given to that charity are received and governed by that charity, not by Traveling Scholars of America.
Use of content
The text, logo and design of this website belong to Traveling Scholars of America. Pictures, calligraphy, fonts and software from others are used under their own licences, listed under “Credits and licences” at the foot of every page. You may share links to the website freely; please ask before reusing our content elsewhere.
Acceptable use
Please don’t use the website or our contact channels to send unlawful, abusive or misleading content, or to interfere with the website’s operation.
Links to other services
The website links to services run by others, including Google Forms, WhatsApp and Givebutter. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
No warranty
The website is provided “as is”. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that it is error-free or always online. To the extent the law allows, Traveling Scholars of America is not liable for losses arising from your use of the website.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kentucky, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continued use of the website means you accept the changes.
